Our Mission
The Nchanga Golf Academy was founded in 2008 by the club in partnership with Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) with a single mission: to make golf accessible to the youth of the Copperbelt and develop Zambia's next generation of champions.
As the premier junior golf development programme in northern Zambia, the Academy provides a structured pathway from beginner level through to elite competition. Our PGA-qualified coaching staff delivers programmes that balance technical skill development with course management, physical fitness, and mental preparation.
We believe golf teaches character — discipline, integrity, patience, and resilience — and we embed these values in every session. The Academy serves as a vital community hub, offering young people from Chingola and surrounding areas a positive, structured environment to grow both as golfers and as individuals.
Many of our graduates have gone on to represent Zambia at national level, earned golf scholarships, and pursued professional careers in the sport.

Tournament Pathway
Junior golfers at Nchanga progress through a structured tournament pathway designed to build confidence and competitive experience. The Academy's curriculum integrates regular competition from the earliest stages, ensuring every student develops the skills and composure needed to perform under pressure.

FAQ
Nothing at all. We provide all equipment for First Swings participants. For Junior Squad and above, we recommend bringing your own clubs, but we have loaner sets available.
Each session includes a warm-up, skill-focused instruction, practice drills, and on-course application where appropriate. Junior Squad sessions add fitness and rules segments. All programs follow a term calendar aligned with school terms.
Absolutely. Private lessons with our PGA professionals are available by appointment. We also welcome adults interested in getting started with the game.
Yes. Talented juniors progress through our pathway: Junior Squad → Copperbelt Junior Classic → National Junior Championships → Pro Pathway. Our Pro Pathway athletes receive scholarships and represent Nchanga at national and regional events.
